How do I return an item?

My Home for Life wants you to be satisfied with your purchase. We have tried to present our products with the information you need to make a good purchasing decision. If, however, you purchase an item that does not fit your need, you may need to return that item. All returns must be in complete, original, undamaged packaging.

To return an item, contact customer service by emailing service@myhomeforlife.com or by calling 434-977-6435. You will be provided with a Return Authorization (RA) number. This number is very important for making sure you get credit for your return. Please do not return items without an RA. This number must be written on the outside of the package you are returning, as well as   on a piece of paper inside the box your are returning.  All returns must be in complete, original, undamaged packaging. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

LiftSeat Independence Toilet Lifts have a 30 day money back guarantee. If not
100% satisfied, ship it back in the original packaging.

Commode Assist, UpLift, UpEasy and Risedale Products may be returned within 7 days. These products have a 30% restocking fee (plus shipping).

The Aquatec and Beluga bath lifts may be returned within 7 business days if the product has only been used dry and clothed. If it is sat on by an unclothed person or used in water, it may not be returned. There is a 15% restocking charge. The Bellavita bath lift is a Drive Medical products (Drive return policy is below). Sterling  bath lifts have a 30% restocking fee (plus shipping), and must be returned within 10 business days. Peterman bath lifts (Peter Pan, IPB200, IPB300) and Bathmaster Sonaris sales are final.

Tush-Push Toilet Lifts. May be returned within 7 days if it has only been used by a clothed person. If it used by an unclothed person, it may not be returned. There is a $200 restocking charge.

Guardian Water Power Tublift have a 30% restocking fee (plus shipping)

Any Sammons Preston (Bathmaster Sonaris - including replacement parts) products that are considered hygiene products can not be returned.

Drive Medical products returned products for any reason within 30 days other than a manufacturer’s defect are subject to a 25% restocking fee in addition to all shipping expenses. This includes all outbound and inbound freight charges. All items must be returned in original Drive packaging and are subject to inspection at the time of return. Items must be in new or unused condition. Please be advised all return are to be shipped back to the address below and must have a return authorization number included on the return ticket.

Refused Product Policy
MINIMUM $130.00 freight charge and 15% restocking applies for all refused products that have left the warehouse.

EZ Access ramps have a 20% restocking fee (plus shipping).


Mangar products have a 25% restocking fee (plus shipping) if returned unused within 30 days.

Snap N Save Sliding transfer benches 25% restocking fee (plus shipping) if returned unused within 14  days.

All other products: all sales are final.
