Returns

How do I return an item?

My Home for Life wants you to be satisfied with your purchase. We have tried to present our products with the information you need to make a good purchasing decision. If, however, you purchase an item that does not fit your need, you may need to return that item. All returns must be in complete, original, undamaged packaging. To return an item, contact customer service by emailing [email protected] or by calling 434-977-6435. You will be provided with a Return Authorization (RA) number. This number is very important for making sure you get credit for your return. Please do not return items without an RA. This number must be written on the outside of the package you are returning, as well as on a piece of paper inside the box your are returning. All returns must be in complete, original, undamaged packaging. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

LiftSeat Independence Toilet Lifts have a 30 day money back guarantee. If not 100% satisfied, ship it back in the original packaging.

Commode Assist, UpEasy and Risedale Products may be returned within 7 days. These products have a 25% restocking fee (plus return shipping).

SitnStand Portable Rising Seat may be returned in like new condition within 30 days. 10% restocking fee plus return shipping.

All Aquatec bath lifts, parts (Aquatec RSB, Wide, XL), and Seatara shower chairs may be returned within 7 business days if the product has only been used dry and clothed. If it is sat on by an unclothed person or used in water, it may not be returned. There is a 18% restocking fee and customer is responsible for return shipping charges.


Roth Mobeli Grab Bars: 15% restocking fee, plus actual cost of outbound shipping.

Seatara Bathmobile may be returned within 7 business days if the product has only been used dry and clothed. If it is sat on by an unclothed person or used in water, it may not be returned. There is a 18% restocking charge.

The Bellavita and Whisper bath lifts are a Drive Medical products. If the box is opened by the customer, it can not be returned. (Drive return policy is below).

Sterling bath lift hand controls cannot be returned because it is classified as a hygiene product by the manufacturer.

EZ Access ramps have a 20% restocking fee (plus shipping) if returned within 10 days.
EZ Access TILT Toilet Incline lift can not be returned if the box has been opened. If returned within 14 days, a 15% restocking fee.

The Mangar Bathing Cushion, Archimedes Bath Lift and Surfer Bather are hygienic items and cannot be returned if the box has been opened. All Mangar products (including the Leg Lifter) may only be returned in an unused condition and with the packaging complete and intact, within 30 days of receipt. Customer must then return the item/s to us with immediate effect and at your own cost, in an unused condition and with the packaging complete and intact. Once we have received the returned product/s in an unused condition, with complete packaging, we will then arrange for a refund of the cost of the order to be made either by sending a check or by refunding the credit or debit card you originally made the payment with. A 30% restocking fee in addition to actual cost of outbound shipping applies to all Mangar products returned in an unused condition. If a Mangar product is returned stating that the product/s are faulty, and subsequently it is deemed that the products are not indeed faulty, or if the products are returned in an opened state which means we are unable to resale the item, then no refund will be provided and the product/s will be returned to you. We reserve the right to charge for packing and shipping of such items.

Fold Easy Portable Toilet Frame 15% plus shipping if returned within 14 days.

IndeeLift products have a 15% restocking fee and the cost of return shipping if returned within 30 days.

Liftup products (Raizer Lifting Chair) have a 10% restocking fee if returned within 30 days if the item is unopened or in like new condition.

Snap N Save Sliding transfer benches can not be returned unless the product is defective.

Guardian Alert and Freedom Alert can be returned within 30 days. Customer will need to pay the outbound and return shipping.

Petermann bath lifts, hand controls, chargers, covers and IPU shower chairs have a 10% restocking fee (plus cost of outbound and return shipping) if returned within 7 days and only used dry, by a person fully clothed.

Bestcare Patient lifts may not be returned unless the wrong lift is shipped in error by Bestcare or the lift is heavily damaged or defective out of the box. In the event that Bestcare does approve a return of a Patient lift, the product will be subject to a minimum restocking fee of 25% or more, plus the cost of outbound shipping. Please note that patient lifts being returned must be in the original carton with all parts, components and packing materials included. Failure to comply with this requirement will incur higher restocking fees or a rejection of the return.

Healthline shower chairs: For unused products, 20% restocking fee plus cost of shipping, within 20 days.


Dolomite walkers: 20%  restocking fee (plus return shipping) if returned within 10 days in unused condition with the original packaging.


Fall Alert System, Sky Angel and Sky Angel Wrist: 25% plus shipping if returned within 7 days. The customer will be responsible for a 25% restock fee plus any and all cost to ship the order.

No Drill Grab Bar: 25% restocking fee if returned within 30 days. Returned merchandise must be in first-quality, resalable condition and be shipped prepaid in its original packaging, packed within an outer shipping carton in order to receive a refund. No returns will be issued after 30 days. No returns will be accepted without an RA# on the return package. If the return is a "damage" claim, please advise within 3 business days so we can initiate a claim with the carrier. No returns for "damage" will be accepted after 3 business days of receipt of goods. If the return is "defective", please e-mail [email protected] photos if possible of the claim so we can document and offer quick resolution.

Karman wheelchairs: No return of any kind will be accepted after fourteen (14) calendar days from the invoice date and shipped back within 30 days shipped freight prepaid. Goods accepted for credit upon return will be subject to a 15% handling/restocking charge and all transportation charges must be prepaid.

Any Patterson Medical (Bathmaster Sonaris - including replacement parts) products that are considered hygiene products cannot be returned.


Drive Medical products returned for any reason within 30 days other than a manufacturer defect are subject to a 15% restocking fee in addition to all shipping expenses. This includes all outbound and inbound freight charges. All items must be returned in original Drive packaging and are subject to inspection at the time of return. Items must be in new or unused condition. Product should be in the condition it was received, unused, and in the original box and/or packaging, except for hygienic products. The original packaging for hygienic products must not have been opened. Opened hygienic products are not returnable. Hygienic products include bath lifts, bath chairs, shower chairs, toilet seat locks and lids, and commodes. Please be advised all returns are to be shipped back to the address below and must have a return authorization number included on the return label.

If you are unhappy with your Dignity Lift, you can return it at three stages. The amount you are refunded depends upon at what stage the product is returned.

  1. Returning A Dignity Lift - Unopened Box - If you have not removed the lift from the box, you can return it for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. You will have to have pay the return postage to have the lift returned to us. Ship it to:

  2. Returning A Dignity Lift - Installation Didn't Go Well - Before you install the lift, we ask that you measure your toilet to be sure it will work for you. If you omitted this step and didn't succeed in installing your lift, you can still return it with a 10% restocking fee. Please put all of the parts and pieces back in the box and ship it back to us:

  3. Returning A Dignity Lift - Used It, But Didn't Like It - If you used your Dignity Lift and didn't like it within the first 14 days you can return it and only pay a 15% refurbish/restocking fee. Please put all of the parts and pieces back in the box and ship it back to us:

Refused Product Policy MINIMUM $130.00 freight charge and 35% restocking applies for all refused products that have left the warehouse.
No products can be returned after 30 days. All other products: all sales are final.
